Shell & Paddy

Shell & Paddy is the final project I worked on at university. It is a 2d cartoon slapstick comedy involving two main characters, one of which is trying to eat the other but fails and suffers the hilarious consequences.

Screenings

Feb 2013 ‘Shell and Paddy’ was screened a third time at Animated Exeter, The Graduate and put in the top three of best directed.

Nov 2012 ‘Shell and Paddy’ was screened a second time and nominated for the Royal Television Society, Devon & Cornwall Centre Student Television Awards 2012.

July 2012 My Final Major Project ‘Shell & Paddy’ ( a short animated childrens cartoon) was selected to be screened at Animated Encounters as part of Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival 2012 and was eligible for the Animated Encounters Grand Prix Award.

My job in this project was to create background environments in order to capture the right moods and atmosphere for the cartoon. This is my collection showing a wide range of the background art.
